How to Connect Nintendo Switch (Switch/Switch 2) Players to Your Minecraft Bedrock Server

By default, Nintendo Switch players can only connect to official servers in Minecraft Bedrock. However, you can change your Switch’s DNS settings to allow connection to third party servers like your Minecraft Bedrock server using BedrockConnect.
Changing DNS Settings on Nintendo Switch
Section titled “Changing DNS Settings on Nintendo Switch”- From the home screen, select
System Settings
- Go to
Internet > Internet Settings
- Select your current connection and choose
Change Settings
- Select
DNS Settings
and change toManual
- Enter these DNS addresses:
- Primary DNS:
104.238.130.180
- Secondary DNS:
8.8.8.8
- Primary DNS:
- Save your settings and restart your console
Connecting to Your Server
Section titled “Connecting to Your Server”- Log in to the Game Host Bros panel and select your Minecraft server.
- Copy your server IP address from the sidebar.
- Open Minecraft and click
Play
. - Go to
Servers
and select any available server. - Click
Connect to a Server
. - Enter your server’s IP address and port.
- Click
Connect
.
Example: If your server IP is 198.137.23.46:7781, it should look like this:
IP: 198.137.23.46Port: 7781
Alternative DNS Servers
Section titled “Alternative DNS Servers”If the main server is unavailable, try these alternatives:
- UK Server:
213.171.211.142
- Germany Server:
217.160.58.93

- Try a different DNS server from the list above
