How to Make Your Vintage Story Server Public

By default, Vintage Story server (version 1.20+) are private and invite-only. If you want other players to find and join your server through the public server list, you’ll need to enable server advertising.

Making Your Server Public

1. Log in to the Game Host Bros panel and select your Vintage Story server.
2. Go to Console.
3. Type /serverconfig advertise on to enable server advertising.
4. Type /serverconfig whitelistmode off to disable whitelist mode.
5. Restart your server.

Tip

Even with advertising enabled, it may take a few minutes for your server to appear in the public server list.

Remember that making your server public means anyone can join. If you want to control who can access your server, consider keeping whitelist mode enabled and manually whitelisting your friends and other trusted players.
