How to Create a Map Cycle on Your Counter-Strike Global Offensive Server

Creating custom map cycles is an important step of customizing your Counter-Strike: Global Offensive server. This guide will show you how to create your own map rotation.

Editing mapcycle.txt

The mapcycle file isn’t created by default. Follow these easy steps to begin configuring a map rotation:

  1. Log in to the Game Host Bros Panel and select your server.
  2. Go to Management > File Manager and enter csgo.
  3. Edit mapcycle.txt, then click save.
  4. Restart your server.

The maps that get added to this file are found in /csgo/maps/.
