How To Upload An Existing Valheim Save To Your Server

In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of uploading a custom world file to your Valheim dedicated server.

Finding Your Save Files

Worlds aren’t found in the game files, they are found in a different location which can be accessed by doing this.

  1. Press Win + R.
  2. Enter this command %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim.
  3. Open Worlds.
  4. Copy your worlds .fwl and .db files.

Uploading Your World

  1. Login to the Game Host Bros Game Panel and stop your Valheim server.
  2. In the Game Host Bros panel go to Management > File Manager
  3. Once there navigate to .config/unity3d/IronGate/Valheim/worlds_local
  4. Drag in your existing .fwl and .db files.
  5. In the sidebar, go to Configuration > Startup Parameters
  6. Edit World Name and change it to the name of your world file.
