How to Change Your Minecraft Server Difficulty

This is what you do if you want to change the difficulty of your Minecraft server. Changing your Minecraft server difficulty is the fastest way to adjust your survival experience. Whether you’d like to make it more brutal or instead enjoy a peaceful and scenic playthrough without any enemies in sight, you can do so by following this guide.

  1. Access the Game Host Bros panel and stop your Minecraft server.
  2. Go to Management > File Manager.
  3. Open server.properties, edit difficulty= to one of the values below, and then click save.
    • peaceful - No hostile mobs spawn, and health regenerates quickly
    • easy - Hostile mobs spawn but deal less damage
    • normal - Default balanced difficulty with moderate damage
    • hard - Hostile mobs deal more damage and have additional abilities
  4. Start your server.
