How To Update Your Factorio Server

This is how you can update your Factorio dedicated server after an update.

Danger

Always backup your world before updating.

1. Access the Game Host Bros Panel.
2. Go to Configuration > Advanced.
3. Click Reinstall Server

This will run the installer again and download Factorio. The reason why we do it this way is worlds and mods are sensitive to changes and can break your entire factory. This way you’re in control and there are no surprises when you have a mega factory.
