How To Create A Mapcycle On Your Counter Strike Source Server

Creating custom mapcycles is an important step of customizing your CSS server, this guide will show you how to create your own map rotation.

Editing Mapcycles.txt

The mapcycle file isn’t created by default, follow these easy steps to begin configuring a map rotation.

1. Login to the Game Host Bros Panel and select your Server.
2. Go to Management > File Manager.
3. Navigate to /cstrike/cfg/.
4. Copy mapcycle_default.txt and rename the copied file to mapcycle.txt.
5. Add your desired maps to mapcycle.txt and click save.
6. Restart your server.

The maps that get added to this file are found in /cstrike/maps/.
