How to Change Spawn Protection on Your Minecraft Server

Spawn protection stops non-OP players from breaking or placing blocks near the world spawn point.

This is what you do if you want to change the spawn protection radius on your Minecraft server.

Note

Enabling spawn protection requires that your server has an OP/Admin player. Otherwise, the protection won’t be applied.

1. Access the Game Host Bros panel and stop your Minecraft server.
2. Go to Management > File Manager.
3. Open server.properties, edit spawn-protection= to your desired value, and then click save.
4. Start your server.

Tip

The default spawn protection radius is 16 blocks. Set it to 0 to disable spawn protection completely, or increase the value to protect a larger area around spawn.
