How to Enable Hardcore Mode on Your Minecraft Server

Hardcore mode is permanent death, when players die they become spectators and cannot respawn. Additonally, the difficulty is automatically locked to hard, making this the ultimate survival challenge.

This is what you do if you want to enable hardcore mode on your Minecraft server.

Enabling Hardcore Mode

1. Access the Game Host Bros panel and stop your Minecraft server.
2. Go to Management > File Manager.
3. Open server.properties, set hardcore= to true and click save.
4. Start your server.

Danger

In hardcore mode, when players die they will be set to spectator mode and cannot respawn. Make sure all players understand this before enabling hardcore mode!

You may be required to set force-gamemode to true on existing worlds.
