How To Transfer A Local Save To Your Sons Of The Forest Server
In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of uploading an existing world and player save file to your Sons Of The Forest server.

Locating Your Existing SOTF Save Files
Section titled “Locating Your Existing SOTF Save Files”To start, we first need to locate your existing save file on your local PC.

Press
Windows Key + R
on your keyboard. -
Copy and paste this, and then navigate to
{YOUR-STEAM-ID}\Multiplayer
or\Singleplayer
.%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Endnight\SonsOfTheForest\Saves\ -
Here you will see a folder with random numbers, create a copy of the save folder you want to upload.

Uploading An Existing SOTF Save To Your Server
Section titled “Uploading An Existing SOTF Save To Your Server”- Login to the Game Host Bros Game Panel and
Stop
your Sons of the forest server. - Connect to your server with [SFTP]
- Navigate to
/serverconfig/Saves/DedicatedServer/Multiplayer/
and Upload your save folder. - Go to
Configuration > Startup Parameters
and changeSave Slot
to the name of your uploaded save folder. - Start your server.

Converting Your Single Player Save To A Multiplayer Save.
Section titled “Converting Your Single Player Save To A Multiplayer Save.”-
Locate Your Singleplayer Save and then create a copy.

Go back to the previous folder and enter the
Multiplayer
folder. -
Paste your copied save folder.

Open Sons of The Forest and click
Multiplayer > Host Game > Continue > Load Game
, select the world you want and clickStart

In-game manually save using a Tarp or Tent and then close the game.

Copy your newly updated save folder from the
Multiplayer
folder.
