How To Update Your Vintage Story Server

Unlike many other games, Vintage Story servers require a server reinstallation to update to newer versions. This process won’t remove your world, mods, or your serverconfig.json file.

Updating Your Vintage Story Server

1. Access the Game Host Bros Panel and Stop your server.
2. In the sidebar, go to Startup Parameters.
3. Find the Release branch setting and ensure it’s set to stable.
4. Find the Release version setting and ensure it’s set to latest.
5. In the sidebar, go to Configuration > Server Actions and click Reinstall Server.

Your server will now be updated to the latest stable version of Vintage Story.
